Choosing a plan

Even if most of your work comes from word of mouth, people will usually look you up before they get in touch. A website shows them you’re professional and established, explains what you do, and makes it easy to contact you. It also helps new customers find you when they search on Google. Social media’s great too, but not everyone uses it, and important details like your services and opening hours can get lost between posts.

You can, and plenty of people do! But it takes time to get right, and building it is only part of the job. You’ll also need to write the copy, make the design look professional, and set it up so Google can find you. Then there’s the stuff you can’t see – making sure it loads fast, works well on phones, and doesn’t have hidden problems that put customers off or hold you back on Google. And once it’s live, you’ll need to keep it all up to date. We’ll do all of that for you. Need to change your opening hours or swap an image? Just send us a message and we’ll sort it, so you can get on with running your business.

For most businesses, we’d recommend the subscription. There’s no big bill at the start – just £100 a month – and the minimum term is only 6 months, so you’re not tied in for long. Everything’s included: hosting, unlimited content updates, support, and a free redesign every 3 years. You don’t have to think about your website at all. The lump sum suits you if you’d rather pay once and own your website outright. It’s £1,500 (half upfront), plus £25 a month for hosting. If you rarely change anything, it works out cheaper over time – £2,400 over 3 years, compared with £3,600 on the subscription. Still not sure? Just ask – we’ll give you an honest answer.

If you pay a lump sum, yes – it’s yours outright. On the subscription, you always keep your domain, and every month you pay knocks £25 off the £1,500 price of your website. Once it’s paid off, it’s yours. Want it sooner? You can buy it any time for whatever’s left. If you take your free redesign, it comes with a new contract (with a new minimum term, at our prices at the time), and you start paying it off from scratch.

Then you don’t pay. Before we start, we’ll ask what kind of websites you like, and we’ll keep making changes until you’re happy. But if we can’t design something you love, we’ll refund what you’ve paid and cancel the contract. That goes for both the subscription and the lump sum.

The subscription is paid monthly by card or direct debit. For the lump sum, you pay half before we start and the other half when your website goes live.

Getting started

Usually around 3 weeks from our first chat to your website going live, depending on how quickly we get your feedback.

Not much! First, we’ll have a chat about your business. Then we’ll send you a questionnaire about your goals, your customers, and the kind of websites you like. After that, we just need your feedback on the design and a quick look at the preview before it goes live. We’ll write the copy and take care of everything else.

Of course! We’ll build you a brand-new website from scratch, so it doesn’t matter what your current one is built with. If there’s any copy or photos you’d like to keep, we can reuse them. And you can keep your domain too – we’ll sort that out for you.

No problem – you can keep it. If it’s in your name, we’d suggest leaving it where it is, because moving a domain can be fiddly. But if you’d rather we look after it, we’ll move it over to us for free. And if your old web designer manages it, we can move it to us and cover the cost, or help you move it into your own name (you’d just pay the transfer fee). Free transfers cover .com and .co.uk domains. Don’t have one yet? We’ll sort one out for you at no extra cost.

Once you’re live

We’ll set your website up so Google can find it and understand what you do – things like page titles, descriptions, and a fast, mobile-friendly site. If you don’t have a Google Business Profile yet, we’ll set one up for you too, so you can show up on Google Maps. We can’t promise you’ll be top of the results, though, because that depends on things like your competition and your reviews.

Yes! Call, text, or email us anytime. If you have a question Friday evening, just send us a message! We’re a small business too, so we know how valuable this is.

You don’t need to – just send us a message and we’ll make the change for you. But if you’d like to update things like text and images yourself, we can add an easy-to-use editor. Just ask and we’ll give you a price.

Monthly subscription

It’s a simple monthly fee with no setup costs. Your first payment is due before we start work, and there’s a minimum term of 6 months – after that, it’s month-to-month and you can cancel anytime. It’s a fully managed service that includes unlimited content updates, so you never have to touch your site again – we do everything for you while you focus on running your business.

A lot! You get a professionally designed, custom-coded website with hosting, a domain, unlimited content updates, ongoing support, a free redesign every 3 years, setup for Google search, and copywriting done for you. The idea is that it comes with everything you need to look professional online and support your business as it grows.

You keep your domain, whatever happens. If you want to keep your website too, you can buy it for whatever’s left to pay off – that’s £1,500, minus £25 for every month you’ve paid. Otherwise, we’ll take it offline.

Lump sum

You pay £1,500 for your website, with 50% upfront before we start work. Hosting and your domain are £25 a month on top. Once it’s paid for, your website is yours outright.

Changes are £50 an hour.

No, that’s only included with the subscription. But we’re always happy to give you a price for a redesign whenever you want one.
